Hydropolis

📍 Wrocław, PL🕒 1–3 hours€€ Moderate

Hydropolis is a unique water knowledge center located in Wrocław, housed in a 19th-century underground clean water reservoir covering 4,000 m². Opened in December 2015, it is the only such facility in Poland and one of few worldwide. The exhibition consists of 9 thematic zones showcasing water from various perspectives – from the origin of water in the universe, through ocean depths, to the role of water in the human body and water engineering. Highlights include a 65-meter screen with a film about water formation, a 1:1 scale bathyscaphe, life-size models of deep-sea creatures, a relaxation zone with live moss, and interactive games for children. Outside, there is the longest water printer in Europe, measuring 46.5 meters. The center is fully wheelchair accessible, with a nearby public transport stop. On-site amenities include a café and a gift shop. It is an ideal destination for families, kids, teens, and adults – everyone will find something fascinating.
