Deutsches Museum
The Deutsches Museum in Munich is one of the world's largest museums of science and technology, located on Museumsinsel, an island in the Isar River. For over a hundred years, it has fascinated visitors with unique exhibits, interactive stations, and hands-on experiments. In its twenty permanent exhibitions, you can see the first diesel engine, a microscopic theater, a flight simulator, a cross-section of an Airbus fuselage, and the famous table used in the demonstration of nuclear fission. Particularly appealing are the dioramas – lifelike displays that illustrate scenes from everyday life and technology. The museum also offers numerous special programs, such as workshops, lectures, and demonstrations, as well as temporary exhibitions, for example on planetary health or the life of mountain farmers. It is an ideal place for families with children, students, and anyone curious about the world – there is something for everyone. On-site facilities include a café, restaurant, gift shop, and lockers. The museum is fully wheelchair accessible, and public transport is nearby. When planning a visit, it is worth allocating at least four hours to fully enjoy the rich offerings. Tickets can be purchased online, and the free museum app may be helpful.
