Kampinos National Park is one of the most valuable natural areas in Poland, located in the immediate vicinity of Warsaw, in the town of Izabelin at 38 Tetmajera Street. The park covers the area of the Kampinos Forest in the Vistula River valley, serving as the green lungs of the capital. It was established in 1953 and covers an area of 385 km², making it the second largest national park in the country. It is characterized by an extraordinary diversity of landscapes – from marshes and meadows to inland dunes, which are among the best preserved in Europe. The park contains 22 strict protection zones, covering about 12% of its area. Visitors can use approximately 360 km of hiking trails and 200 km of cycling routes that lead through the most interesting corners. For tourists, 9 educational paths have also been prepared, including the Path to Karczmisko, the Roztoka Valley Path, and the Around Opalenie Path. In the park, you can encounter moose, beavers, and with a bit of luck also lynx. It is an ideal place for full-day trips for families, nature lovers, and active recreation enthusiasts. Admission is free, and the park is open all year round.
