Międzylesie Castle
Międzylesie Castle is a historic fortress located in the heart of Międzylesie, at Plac Wolności 42. The site boasts a history spanning seven hundred years, during which it underwent Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque phases. Today, the castle is open for guided tours, with a guide narrating its turbulent past, secrets, and ghosts, including the spirit of the wife of Prince von Glaubitz, who allegedly walks at night on the balcony of the Black Tower. The tour also includes multimedia projections that bring Polish history to life. During the summer season, the castle is open daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with entries on the hour. At other times of the year, tours are available three times a day: at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 2:00 PM. Admission tickets cost 45 PLN for adults and 40 PLN for concessions, while children under 5 enter for free. Groups of more than 10 people can arrange individual tour times. The castle grounds include free parking, the Książęcy Sad restaurant, and a café. The site is pet-friendly, so you can explore it with your dog. An additional attraction is the nighttime tour on Saturdays, which takes place after dark and requires advance reservation by phone or email. This place is sure to appeal to history enthusiasts, families with children, and anyone seeking unusual experiences.
