Pstrąg Ojcowski
Pstrąg Ojcowski is a restaurant located in the heart of the Ojców National Park, in the Prądnik Valley, near the Jonaszówka viewpoint. It specializes in trout dishes – smoked over beech wood or stewed in foil with onion and herbs. The fish come from their own ponds fed by crystal-clear water from the Młynówka stream. They are served with local bread, pickles (cabbage, peppers, cucumbers), potatoes, and pierogi. The venue holds a Slow Food certificate and belongs to the European Network of Regional Culinary Heritage. On-site amenities include covered pavilions, deck chairs by the pond, and a rowboat for guests. The restaurant also serves local wine from the Goja vineyard, promoting the Lesser Poland Wine Trail. An annual wine picnic takes place on the last weekend of June – the 10th edition is planned for 2026. The tradition of trout farming in Ojców dates back to the 1930s, and the current establishment was revived in 2014 by Magda Węgiel and Agnieszka Sendor. The place is family-friendly, suitable for couples and groups, and offers free parking (paid parking 1 km away at the Ojców castle). Payment by cash and card.
