Hotel Bristol w Zakopanem

The Hotel Bristol in Zakopane, located at 8 Bulwary Słowackiego, is a former luxury hotel built in the 1920s, designed by architect Zygmunt Ostafin. Its Art Deco facade once attracted pre-war elites – diplomats, politicians, artists, and athletes. Waiters served guests in white gloves, and the hotel hosted balls, dances, and conferences, including the 4th International Congress of Medicine and Pharmacy in 1927. After World War II, the building was nationalized and used for employee vacations. Unfortunately, it later fell into disrepair. Despite several revitalization attempts, including plans to turn it into a Sheraton hotel, the property still awaits restoration. Today, visitors can admire its historic architecture and imagine its former glory. This site will especially appeal to history and architecture enthusiasts visiting Zakopane.
