Radochowska Cave
Radochowska Cave is one of the most interesting underground attractions in Lower Silesia, located in the village of Radochów, near Lądek-Zdrój. It lies in the Golden Mountains, inside Mount Bzowiec (697 m above sea level). Discovered in the 18th century, it remains an important scientific site – remains of Pleistocene animals have been found here, and in the Gothic Hall there is a small lake inhabited by an endemic species of crustacean. Visiting is possible only with a guide and takes about 40 minutes. The route is approximately 300 meters long, although the total corridors exceed 500 meters. The cave is not illuminated, so visitors receive helmets with headlamps, which adds excitement and makes them feel like real cavers. Along the way, you can admire unique geological formations and beautiful rock formations. The cave is open daily from April 15 to September 30, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (last entry at 5:20 PM). Outside the season, visits are possible after prior telephone arrangement. Tickets cost 45 PLN for adults and 40 PLN for concessions. It is a great option for families as well as organized groups, which should book in advance.
