Vicarage Tenement House in Kraków

The Vicarage Tenement House is a historic building in Kraków, located in the Old Town at the corner of Grodzka 44 and Senacka 10 streets. It was erected around 1412 on the initiative of Kaldherberg. From 1432 to 1710 it served as the seat of the castle vicars, which gave it its name. In 1710 it passed into private hands, and in 1745 it was rebuilt by Stanisław Rembski. Another renovation took place in 1909, designed by architect Beniamin Torbe. In 1942, arcades were pierced on the ground floor from Grodzka Street. The building was listed as a monument on May 4, 1965 (reg. no. A-218) and is also included in the municipal register of monuments. It is a valuable example of medieval urban architecture, worth seeing during a walk through the historic center of Kraków.
