Robber's Castle – Beaver Stone

Robber's Castle, also known as Beaver Stone, is the ruin of a small medieval castle located in Borowy Jar in Jelenia Góra, Lower Silesia. The site lies on a walking route from Krzywousty Hill to Pearl of the West, along the Bóbr River. In the past, the castle served as a hideout for robber knights who attacked trade routes in the 15th century. In 1428, it was captured by the Hussites, who used it as a raiding base. The ruins are open all year round and can be visited free of charge. This place is interesting for history and archaeology enthusiasts as well as hikers. Nearby attractions include the Grzybek observation tower, Helikon, and the Miracle Spring of Love. The castle is easily accessible by public transport, and a visit usually takes less than an hour.
