Pawlikowski Cave System (Mylna Cave - Raptawicka Cave - Obłazkowa Cave)
The Pawlikowski Cave System in the Kościeliska Valley in Kościelisko is one of the most interesting cave complexes in the Polish Tatra Mountains. It consists of three connected caves: Mylna, Raptawicka, and Obłazkowa, with a total length of 2404 m. This tourist cave is designed for self-guided exploration with your own light source, without a guide. Although it lacks rich speleothems, the complex network of corridors and varied rock formations provide plenty of excitement. Exploring the entire system is challenging, but individual parts can be visited separately. The route goes through low passages, puddles, and requires proper preparation – warm clothing, sturdy shoes, and a flashlight. The cave has a low temperature (a few degrees above zero), and in winter ice formations appear. Entry is free, and the cave is open daily from 8:00 to 18:00. Due to difficult conditions, it is not recommended to enter alone. It is an excellent place for families with children aged 6 and up, teenagers, and adults seeking adventure.
