Kletno Uranium Mine
The Kletno Uranium Mine is a former mine that now serves as a museum and tourist attraction. It is located at Kletno 40, in Stronie Śląskie, in the Lower Silesia region, at the foot of the Śnieżnik Massif. Visitors can explore a labyrinth of colorful corridors, where they can admire natural occurrences of minerals such as fluorite, amethyst, malachite, and barite. The tourist route leads through historic workings, presenting 600 years of mining history in the area. Additionally, a special exhibition takes guests on a prehistoric journey, showing the last 500 million years of evolution against the geological backdrop of the Śnieżnik Massif. Tours are conducted only with a guide and last about 45 minutes. The mine also offers night tours, field games, and geological workshops, which last approximately 4-5 hours. The facility is open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with the last entry at 4:30 PM. Ticket prices: regular 55 PLN, reduced 40 PLN, senior 50 PLN. This place is sure to interest families with children as well as geology and history enthusiasts.
