The Paper Mill in Duszniki-Zdrój is a unique monument of technology, housing the Museum of Papermaking. Located on the Bystrzyca Dusznicka River, at the northern edge of the town, along the route to the Czech border, it impresses with its architecture alone. The main building dates back to 1605 and is one of the most valuable structures of its kind in Poland. Inside, visitors can admire 17th-century polychrome paintings and learn about the history of handmade paper, which was produced here until 1937. The museum continues these traditions by organizing demonstrations and workshops where participants can make their own sheet of paper. It is an excellent attraction for families with children, combining fun with education. The museum shop offers handmade paper products, and during the Paper Festival (usually held on the last weekend of July) admission is free. The mill, which in the 17th century was among the largest in Europe, was declared a Historic Monument in 2011. It is also worth noting that Frédéric Chopin wrote letters on Duszniki paper during his stay in 1826. The site is easily accessible, and more information can be found at www.muzeumpapiernictwa.pl.
